Australian Order - First Phase Rollout Starts With 42 ESM's™

Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC), is pleased to announce that Smartcool Systems International Inc., a 100% wholly owned subsidiary, has received an initial order for 42 of its Energy Savings Module (ESM™) Systems from Smartcool Systems Australia Pty. Ltd. ("SSC Australia"). SSC Australia retains the exclusive distribution rights for Smartcool's ESM™ energy efficiency technology for Australia and New Zealand. As detailed in our news release dated October 30, 2007, SSC Australia entered into a sale arrangement with Ecosave Pty. Ltd. located in Sydney, Australia for the purpose of sales and distribution of the ESM™.

The equipment has been ordered by Ecosave for Stockland Corporation Limited, Australia's largest and most diversified property developer. The systems will be rolled out across Stockland's Australian retail portfolio, as part of the company's commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability (www.stockland.com.au).
